Maggie's Daddy, Steven David Johnson, took this photo, which I snatched from his blog. His photography just gets better, and better, and better. He is art professor (teaching photography mostly) at Eastern Mennonite University. He's also had increasing opportunities to display his work at some recent shows and receives an increasing number of opportunities for freelance work photographing weddings, etc.
Steven will be the photographer extradoinaire for my youngest daughter's wedding coming up September 1. Ana (aka Krissie or Sam) and her best friend Chad Updyke will begin their life together at Covenant Acres Camp in Pike, New York. And true to Sam's nature, the ceremony will take place AFTER Sam's hosted a birthday and a half-birthday party for her Virginia nieces. Eliza Grace's sixth birthday is just a few days before the wedding. Not wanting Eliza to feel forgotten, Sam has decided that she'll have some photographs taken before the wedding AND include a cake and party for Eliza. Since Eliza and her little sister are only 18 months apart, Ana and I take great joy in buying a present on each girls' birthday and then half as much for the other one's half birthday.
